If you’re in the market for a fun, sporty, and practical car, the 2020 Ford EcoSport should be at the top of your list. It’s a subcompact crossover SUV that is deceptively spacious and versatile. The EcoSport is offered in S, SE, Titanium, and SES trim levels, and you have the option of intelligent four-wheel drive. Here are four of its stand-out features.

Stylish Exterior

Whether you’re on your daily commute or headed out on a weekend adventure, the 2020 Ford EcoSport takes you there in style. From its bold grille to its quirky rear end, this car will get you noticed.

The S trim offers quad-beam automatic headlights, daytime running lights, 16-inch aluminum wheels, integrated blind spot mirrors, and a practical swing opening tailgate. SE models add bright grille accents, LED signature lighting, fog lights, color-keyed door handles and mirrors, black roof rails, and rear privacy glass.

Stepping up to the luxurious Titanium trim gets you chrome grille and body accents, 17-inch wheels, and silver roof rails. The sport-themed SES features unique styling with bold black exterior accents.

Sporty and Economical Performance

Powering S, SE, and Titanium models are a perky 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine that delivers 123 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels. Optional for those trims and standard for the SES is an intelligent all-wheel drive and a lively 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine. It produces 166 horsepower and 149 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard.

Both engines feature auto start-stop technology for improved fuel economy around town. The base engine will give you up to 27 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway, while the 2.0-liter turbo will return up to 23 and 29 mpg for city and highway driving.

Versatile and Comfortable Interior

The EcoSport seats five in comfort and features 60/40 fold-flat rear seatbacks for optimal passenger and cargo capacity. The rear swing gate gives you easy access to your gear. The SE trim and up will add a cargo management system with an adjustable load floor and shelf for extra versatility.

Inside the S trim, you’ll find stylish cloth seating, air conditioning, a tilt-and-telescoping steering column, and front and rear 12-volt power outlets. The Sync infotainment system offers two USB ports, six-speaker audio, and FordPass Connect with a Wi-Fi hot spot.

The SE features push-button start, automatic temperature control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, a power moonroof, and the Sync 3 system with an 8-inch touch screen, voice activation, smartphone integration, and satellite radio.

The SES trim adds ActiveX seating, ambient lighting, a heated steering wheel, and a 110-volt power outlet. The top-of-the-range Titanium offers leather-trimmed seating, a power driver’s seat, a navigation system, and a 10-speaker B&O sound system.

Safety First

For safe handling and stopping, the EcoSport features traction control, roll stability control, torque vectoring control, and four-wheel anti-lock brakes. Also standard are hill start assist and a rearview camera. The SE adds reverse parking sensors, while the SES and Titanium trims have rain-sensing wipers and blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert.
